Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee

Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines where she served for ten years. She is also the first women to head an African Chamber of Mines. Dr. Aryee has dedicated over forty years’ service to the public and private sectors in Ghana.

A management and communication Consultant, Dr. Aryee currently consults for Keegan Resources (Ghana) Limited and Pelangio Exploration. She serves on the boards of diverse organizations including Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited, Central University College, Finatrade Foundation, AEL Mining Services Limited, GLICO General, Engineers and Planners, The Ark Fund and MAN Ghana Limited, Drill Masters Africa, Newmont Gold Ghana Limited and Newmont Golden Ridge Limited.

Dr. Aryee is also a Senior Mentor of the Africa Leadership Initiative- The Moremi Initiative for Women in Leadership for African Development, a mentorship Institution for Young Africans.

In recognition of her immense contributions to the growth of the mining industry, the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) conferred an honorary doctorate degree (HonorisCausa) on Dr. Aryee in July 2009. She has also received many prestigious awards including Ghana’s second highest National Award, the Companion of the Order of the Volta in 2006, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana’s (CIMG) “Marketing Women of the Year” for 2007 and the African Leadership, Centre for Economic Development’s “African Female Business Leader of the Year” for 2009.

Dr. Aryee is the founder and Director of Salt and Light Ministries, a Christian para-church organization and an avid promoter of Ghanaian classical and choral compositions.  Salt & Light Ministries, a Christian para-church organization aims at motivating, inspiring and encouraging people to live effective, productive and practical Christian lives.

Dr. Joyce Aryee has succeeded in making the ministry a resource to other Christian organizations and Churches.
